Fly Rod Holder

The SG-Fieldcore Fly Rod Holder was specifically designed for the SG-Fieldcore Frontier, Scout, and Streamline chest packs. Its purpose is to securely hold your fly rod close to the side of your pack - preventing it from swinging around in front like so many other fly rod holders. By staying tight to the side, it allows you to access the contents of your pack or release a fish without having a rod dangling across your chest.

It consists of two parts: a lower ring that clips to a gear loop on the exterior of the chest pack and the upper rod holder that wraps around a shoulder strap of the H-Harness, or your wader strap.

The lower holder is constructed of mil-spec shock cord connected to a 1.5" O-ring to insert the rod butt, which has a hi-vis orange tab for quick identification and access. We recommend running the shock cord through the side MOLLE panel of the SG-Fieldcore Frontier chest pack, or the side attachment loops of the Scout chest pack. This will prevent it from swinging around when not in use.

The upper holder features a Velcro One-Wrap base that allows you to easily install, remove, or reposition it on the SG-Fieldcore H-Harness or your wader straps. The holder is constructed out of our proprietary ACX-57 material that grips the rod shaft tightly and will not harm the rod's finish. This upper holder is waterproof and will maintain its rigidity through repetitive use. The SG-FIELDCORE Fly Rod Holder is designed for one-handed use, right or left hand.
