Built for big trout after dark.

Paul Laemmlen developed the Midnight Reaper to target large predatory trout in stillwater at night. Over the last six years it has accounted for numerous fish over two feet long in Western lakes. Its edge is sound: a glass rattle and metal bead-chain legs push noise and vibration into the water, drawing trout in when they can’t see the fly. Every Midnight Reaper is tied by Paul to the standard he’d demand if he were fishing it himself.

Buy the 3-Streamer Set to cover every depth zone, from shallow edges to deep water, or pick up a single in the weight you fish most.

The Three Weights

Heavy: 6×6mm black tungsten conehead, 0.12 oz
Medium: 5×4mm black tungsten conehead, 0.10 oz
Light: 6×6mm black polymer conehead, purple with black/purple tail, 0.06 oz

All flies are tied on a size 2/0, 90° heavy wire jig hook, with a glass rattle and metal bead-chain legs.

How to Fish It
